Through our Grants program, The Rotary Club of Monterey Pacific has helped many non-profit organizations grow. One such organization is Youth Arts Collective (YAC), Monterey, CA. To learn more about YAC, visit their website yacstudios.org. “The Rotary Club of Monterey Pacific has been a steadfast supporter of Youth Arts Collective (YAC) for the past five years,” shares Marcia Perry, Founder/Executive Director. Perry went on to state, “We also receive support from The Monterey Rotary and the Carmel by the Sea Rotary clubs.”

Perry notes, “YAC was founded in 2000. YAC is an after-school art studio and mentoring program serving ages 14-22. Our mission is to inspire creativity, kindness and confidence in our local youth through artistic expression and mutual respect. Our motto is ‘Do art. Be kind.’

Rotary clubs provide support for so many vital local and international organizations that positively affect the health and well-being of communities all around the world. YAC is one of them. The connection between our organization and the Rotary members is valuable on many levels. Not only is the monetary support helpful to our program, but the interpersonal relationships created by being able to speak to and represent our organization to the Rotary members allows us to get the word out to a wider community about our mission.

We are deeply grateful to all of the Rotary Club members who selflessly work to make our world better for everyone,” she concluded.
